The Village of Orono is seeing a lot of change including a visible drop in population and the closing of downtown businesses as people move away. In order to revitalize the area the Orono Business Improvement Area (BIA), the Clarington Board of Trade and Office of Economic Development (CBOT), as well as the Municipality of Clarington are partnering to develop a strategy to overturn these trends and attract new business and investment to Orono. But first, we want to hear what you have to say about your community.
Orono Economic Development Strategy
The Orono Business Improvement Area (BIA), the Clarington Board of Trade (CBOT) and the Municipality of Clarington have initiated an Economic Development Strategy (EDS) for Orono, with the assistance of Mellor Murray Consulting and Jupia Consulting Inc.
