The Municipality of Clarington contracted Bang the Table Pty Ltd (Bang the Table) to develop, Engage Clarington, an interactive platform to engage residents, gather their input and ideas on a number of municipal projects and initiatives. Residents’ opinions and feedback will be analyzed and used to help improve Municipal services, and shape Council decisions and policy.
The email address you provide when registering for the site may be used by Engage Clarington to send you information and updates about the issues discussed on this site. To stop receiving these emails, you can click on the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of each email.
Personal information collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, will provide residents access and login to the Engage Clarington portal so they can comment on any project or issue important to them. The information will also be used to contact residents who wish to be informed of similar municipal projects and initiatives.
Registration information will be used to provide you with access to the engagement tools where you can provide input, comments and ideas on any project.
Results from any of the engagement campaigns on any Municipal issues will be analyzed at the sole discretion of the Municipality of Clarington. Registration information collected by Engage Clarington may include username, email, and other contact information depending on the nature of the project.

When residents register for an account on the platform they will provide two types of information:

By monitoring the information you provide, we are able to protect the integrity of the discussion from individuals and groups who may attempt to unduly influence the outcomes of the consultation process.
Publicly available information is limited to your screen name and any comments you leave under that name in the forums or other tools on the site.
Note: We strongly recommend using an anonymous screen name.
Individual survey responses, voting patterns and quick poll responses will not immediately be made available publicly on the site, however, feedback (including overall results of polls and surveys, and in some instances, unidentifiable and randomly chosen quotes or comments from surveys) may be published in publicly available reports at the end of the consultation period.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
Occasionally Engage Clarington may include links to third-party sites. These third parties have separate and independent privacy policies. We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
